How Do I Make the Days Go by Faster on Pokemon Gold?

Unlike other popular Game Boy Color titles, like "Harvest Moon" and "The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages," "Pokemon Gold" does not have a formal day-night system. Instead, time passes in the Pokemon world when your character moves. The more steps you take, the more time passes. If you want to make the days go by faster in "Pokemon Gold," you must increase the speed of your character's movement. The best way to do this is to obtain a bicycle.

Instructions

  Fly to Goldenrod City using Pidgey or another Flying Type Pokemon and head northeast until you reach a set of railroad tracks.

  Enter the building you see just south of the tracks.

  Speak with the man you see standing near a rack of bicycles. He will give you a bicycle to test out.

  Leave the building and enter again. Speak with the man, and he will tell you that you can keep the biycle free of charge.

  Open the "Items" menu and hit "A" to select the bicycle. Riding the bicycle will make time pass about ten times faster than walking.
