How to Get a Poke Flute Song on Silver

The Poke Flute is a key item in the Pokemon games. It is used to awaken sleeping Pokemon on the field or in battle and can be used a countless number of times. In the second generation ̶0;Gold̶1; and ̶0;Silver̶1; games for the Game Boy Color, players can get the Poke Flute song after fixing the generator in the Power Plant. The song is actually played on the Poke Flute Channel on the PokeGear̵7;s radio and must be used to awaken the sleeping Snorlax obstructing the player̵7;s progress.

Instructions

  Fly to Cerulean City and go east until you come across a body of water. Go up to the water and surf down to the Power Plant.

  Speak with everybody inside the Power Plant and then go to leave. The security officer will tell you that a thief was spotted in Cerulean City.

  Head back to Cerulean City and enter the gym. A shady character will dash past you. Follow him north onto the Nugget Bridge.

  Talk to the shady character, and he will reveal himself as a member of Team Rocket and challenge you to a battle. Knock out his Golbat and he will reveal the location of the Machine Part.

  Re-enter the gym and press the A button on the tiles surrounding the buoy to find the Machine Part. Return to the Power Plant and speak to the portly engineer. He will thank you and restore power to the plant.

  Head south from Cerulean City to reach Saffron City. Head east to reach Lavender Town. Enter the Radio Tower and speak with the director to get the Expn Card, which allows you to play the Poke Flute song on the PokeGear's radio.
