How Do I Easily Catch a Tauros in the Game Pokemon Blue?

Tauros is one of the most powerful normal-type Pokemon available in the Game Boy game "Pokemon Blue." As his name suggests, Tauros takes the shape of a bull and uses powerful physical attacks such as Stomp and Bite. Would-be Tauros owners can find specimens in only one location, the Safari Zone in Fuchsia City. The Safari Zone restricts your use of Poke Balls to special Safari Balls and prevents you from attacking Pokemon in the park. You can still catch a Tauros easily, however, by skirting the rules and being patient.

  Give Tauros food. Since Tauros is so physically active, his has to eat constantly. Throw a piece of meat at him to get his attention and lull him into a false sense of security.

  Throw rocks at Tauros. Even though you are not allowed to use other Pokemon to attack Tauros, you can still pick up rocks and throw them at him. This will both anger and weaken him, making him more vulnerable to capture.

  Use your Safari Balls carefully. Do not throw a Safari Ball at Tauros before either feeding or attacking him. The ball will likely miss, since Tauros tends to keep his distance. If you throw the ball and miss, he will run away and you will have to find another specimen.
