How to Get Past the Cracked Tiles in the Mirage Tower

The Mirage Tower is a dungeon in the game "Pokemon: Emerald." Players can access it from Route 111, and by ascending all the way to the top, they can choose one of two Pokemon fossils. On the second floor the tower has a long swatch of cracked tiles. If the player steps on them, he'll fall through the floor. In order to get past this area, the player needs the Mach Bike.

Instructions

  Travel to Mauville City, which is in the heart of Hoenn. It's located north of Route 110, south of Route 111, east of Route 117 and west of Route 118.

  Enter the building to the right of the bicycle parking lot. Speak with the attendant there and tell him that you've traveled a long way. He'll let you choose between two bikes. Choose the Mach Bike.

  Walk north to Route 111. In the middle of the route you'll see the sandy-colored Mirage Tower. Enter it and climb the ladder to the second floor.

  Stand beneath the cracked tiles and open your inventory. Select the Mach Bike to equip it.

  Ride over the broken tiles. You'll bike so quickly that you won't fall through the holes. Turn right just before reaching the wall to avoid wrecking.
