How Do You Catch an Arcanine on the Game Pokemon Sapphire?

"Pokemon Sapphire," "Fire Red" and "Leaf Green" are among the third-generation Pokemon game series that boast more than 100 new Pokemon added to the mix. Certain Pokemon appear in one game but not in the other. Among them is Arcanine, which appears in "Fire Red" and "Leaf Green," but not in "Sapphire." The only way to obtain an Arcanine in "Sapphire" is to trade with the other versions of the game.

2 Gameboy Advances
"Pokemon Fire Red" or "Leaf Green"
"Pokemon Sapphire"

Instructions

  Catch a Growlithe in "Pokemon Fire Red." Growlithe can be found on Route 7, Route 8 or the Pokemon Mansion.

  Buy a Fire Stone from the fourth floor of the Celadon Department Store.

  Use the Fire Stone on Growlithe so it will evolve into Arcanine.

  Go to the nearest Pokemon Center and head upstairs to the Trading Center.

  Attach the cable link to a GameBoy Advance that is using "Pokemon Sapphire."

  Trade the Arcanine in "Fire Red" for a Pokemon in "Sapphire." Arcanine will be in your "Sapphire" Pokemon party after the trade.
