What Happens When You Fill & How to Fill Your Pokedex in the Pokemon Sapphire Game

"Pokemon Sapphire and Ruby" are enhanced Game Boy Advance remakes of the two original Pokemon titles, "Pokemon Red and Blue." In these games, the professor you meet at the beginning of the game (Professor Birch in Sapphire) is trying to complete a project that catalogs every known Pokemon in the world. This is a sub-quest that isn't necessary to complete the game, but leads to an Easter Egg.

Instructions

  Consult the Pokemon Sapphire Complete Pokedex Guide (see Resources) and speak to Professor Birch in his lab in Littleroot Town. He will show you your progress in completing the Pokedex.

  Head to Lilycove City after filling the Pokedex, then go north to the Lilycove Motel. Go to the upper floor to meet the Game Freak team: the graphic artist, the programmer and the designer.

  Speak to the Game Designer and he will take you to the next room, which contains a diploma that says you've cataloged every known Pokemon in the world of Hoenn. You can't take this diploma with you, but you can return and view it whenever you wish.
