How to Get a Good Fishing Rod in Pokemon Leaf

Fishing rods allow you to catch wild Water-type Pokemon in the Nintendo Game Boy Advance game "Pokemon Leaf Green." There are three levels of fishing rod, each of which is capable of catching progressively rarer and higher level Pokemon -- the Old Rod, the Good Rod and the Super Rod. You can get each rod from a different Fishing Guru character in the game; the Guru who gives the Good Rod can be found in Fuchsia City in the south of the Kanto region.

     Go to Fuchsia City in the south of the Kanto region.

     Go to the Fishing Guru's house in the bottom right of town. You will recognize it by the fishing pond in the back yard.

     Enter the house and speak to the Fishing Guru inside.

     Accept the Good Rod from the Fishing Guru and it will be added to the Key Items pocket of your bag.

     Select the Good Rod and select "Use" while facing water to fish for wild Pokemon.
