How to Get Past the Eighth Gym in Pokemon Ruby

In "Pokemon Ruby," Wallace, the eighth Gym Leader, commands a team of powerful water-type Pokemon. His strongest Pokemon, Milotic and Seaking, can destroy fire and rock-type teams with little effort. You have the advantage, though, if you bring electric or grass-type Pokemon to the battle. Before you battle Wallace, you must solve a puzzle in his Gym. If you fail the puzzle, one of Wallace's assistant trainers challenges you to a battle.

Switch to a high-level electric or grass Pokemon when the battle starts. Use a powerful electric move, like Thunder, or grass move, such as SolarBeam, against Wallace's Pokemon. His water Pokemon are very weak to these types of moves. One or two attacks will knock each of them out.
