How to Catch Relicanth With Repel

Rare and reclusive, the fossil fish Pokemon Relicanth is vital to catching the three unique Regis in "Pokemon Ruby" and "Pokemon Sapphire": Regirock, Regice and Registeel. You can find them underwater on Routes 124, 125 or 126. To catch Relicanth quickly in those regions, use Max Repel and a moderately high level Pokemon to avoid the more common inhabitants of the area.

Things You'll Need

Access to Sootopolis City
Pokemon with Surf and Dive
Many Max Repels
Level 31 or 32 Pokemon
Ultra Balls or Dive Balls

Instructions

  Travel to Sootopolis City. Walk down to the coast, and use Surf to travel on the water.

  Surf to the dive spot; then use Dive to go underwater.

  Exit the cave and enter the underwater area. Switch your level 31 Pokemon so that it is at the top of the lineup; then activate your Max Repel.

  Swim around in the tall grass until you encounter a Relicanth. Use another Repel if the first one wears off.
- 5
  Weaken the Relicanth with your Pokemon; then catch it in an Ultra Ball or Dive Ball.
