How to Get the Hunter Class in Final Fantasy Tactics on the GBA

"Final Fantasy Tactics Advance" is a strategy role-playing game for the Game Boy Advance. There are over 10 classes in "FFTA," called jobs, that a character can learn. A job dictates what skills and weapons your character can use in battle. For example, the Hunter job uses greatbows to deal damage from a distance with skills such as Sonic Boom and Ultima Shot. Only the human race can become Hunters. However, to make a character take the Hunter job, a prerequisite must first be met.

Instructions

    • 1

Press "Start" on your Game Boy Advance and select "Party."

    • 2

      Select any human character.

    • 3

      Select "Change Jobs."

    • 4

Select "Archer" from the list provided. The Archer is a starting job available to all players at the beginning of the game. Two Archer skills must be learned before the Hunter job can be used.

    • 5

Equip a weapon or a piece of armor with an Archer ability. For example, the Boost ability can be learned from a Longbow, while Block Arrows can be learned from a Green Beret.

    • 6

Complete battles using your Archer to earn Ability Points. Ability Points, or AP, is applied to your weapons and armor to learn the skill associated with it. For example, it takes 100 AP to learn Boost and 300 AP to learn Block Arrows.

    • 7

Press "Start," followed by "Party," once your character has learned two Archer abilities.

    • 8

Select the Archer and choose "Change Jobs." Select "Hunter" from the job list to change that character into a Hunter class.
