"Pokemon HeatGold" and "Pokemon SoulSilver" offer a variety of apricorns you can pick to turn into other objects known as pokeballs. The yellow, or golden-colored apricorn yields a moon ball that increases your success rate with certain wild Pokemon like Nidorina and Skitty. The moon ball works best on wild Pokemon that evolve with moonstones. If you use the apricorn as a drink, it is sour and grants stamina to your pokeathelon.Golden-colored apricorns are found on specific routes and cities in the game.

Visit Johoto and find the yellow-gold apricorn trees on routes 42 and 46.

Look throughout Violet City and on route 8, to find the golden yellow apricorn trees you want.

Keep an eye out for yellow apricorn trees around the world. While typically found in Johoto and Violet City, some trees are not on the "marked paths."
