How to Get Phanpy in Pokemon Pearl

"Pokemon Pearl" features over 100 new Pokemon known as fourth generation Pokemon. Pokemon from older games also make a return, such as Phanpy. Phanpy is a Ground-type Pokemon first introduced in "Pokemon Silver" and "Pokemon Gold." Phanpy, as a Ground-type Pokemon, is strong against Fire and Rock-type Pokemon but weak against Water and Ice-type Pokemon. Phanpy evolves into Donphan at level 25. Phanpy can only be caught after the National Dex has been obtained by defeating the Elite Four. The National Dex allows you to learn the location of Pokemon swarms, the only way to get Phanpy.

Instructions

  Travel to Sandgem Town, located south of Jublife City and east of Twinleaf Town.

  Enter Rowan's Assistant's house, located on the south side of Sandgem Town. The house has a signpost in front of it letting you know it is Rowan's Assistant's house.

  Speak to the little girl with the red bow in her hair on the first floor. She tells you which Pokemon is swarming and the location of the swarm. She says "Route 207! They said there's a whole bunch of Phanpy there!" if Phanpy is swarming. Only one Pokemon swarms per day; try again the next day if it is not Phanpy.

  Travel to Route 207, located north of Oreburgh City.

  Walk in the tall grass in Route 207 until Phanpy appears.

  Use any Pokemon to attack Phanpy until his health bar, located in the upper right corner of the screen, is red. Use any available Pokeball in your inventory to capture Phanpy.
