How to Use the Variable Sword in Mega Man Battle Network 3

"Mega Man Battle Network 3" was released in 2003 in two versions: "Blue" and "White." Each title is similar in its tactical role-playing gameplay but varies in its in-game device known as the "Navi Customizer." The Navi helps gamers as they collect battle chips to assist them in their journey. The "Variable Sword," or "VarSword," chip assists in battle by creating a variety of effects when a particular sequence of buttons is pushed.

Instructions

  Push and hold the "A" button to activate the VarSword combo. Then quickly enter the specific combo to perform the desired attack effect.

  Enter "Up," "Right" and then "Down" to perform the WideSword effect.

  Tap "Left," the "B" button, "Right" and "B" again to create a Sonic Boom.

  Enter "Down," "Left," "Up," "Right" and "Down" to perform the LifeSword attack.

  Push "Down," "Down-right" (diagonal) and "Right," and the VarSword will perform the LongSword attack.

  Tap "Left," "Down-left" (diagonal), "Down," "Down-right" and "Right" to create the Fighter Sword effect.

  Enter "B," "B," "Left," "Down" and "Up" for the Elemental Sonic Wave.
