How to Move the Tree That Wiggles in the Battle Frontier in Pokemon Emerald

"There is still plenty to do after the [Pokemon League] quest is done," says IGN Guides about "Pokemon Emerald." After you become the new Champion, your father gives you a ticket that allows you to access the Battle Frontier. At the Battle Frontier, you will find a strange wiggling tree -- a Sudowoodo -- near the Battle Palace. Water the Sudowoodo with the Wailmer Pail. Defeat or capture the Rock-type Pokemon to unblock your path.

Instructions

  Defeat Champion Wallace and the Elite Four members. The former Champion will register you and your Pokemon into the Hall of Fame. Watch the credits roll.

  Load your save file from the "Pokemon Emerald" main menu. Your character will be in her room. Head downstairs and accept the ticket from your father, the fifth gym leader.

  Get the Wailmer Pail from the Flower Shop on Route 104. Go to Slateport City or Lilycove City and take the ferry to the Battle Frontier.

  Walk over to the Battle Palace and cross the river. Sprinkle water onto the weird tree with the Wailmer Pail to engage it in battle.

  Make the Level 40 Sudowoodo faint or capture it. This is the only Sudowoodo you will encounter in "Pokemon Emerald." The Sudowoodo sprite will no longer be in front of you.
