Select "Duel Puzzle" mode from the list of available games. In Duel Puzzle, the game provides players with a specific hand of cards and a table full of opposing monsters, spells or traps. The player must then solve the puzzle by playing specific cards to overcome their opponent's defenses. Bonus Duelist Points in Duel Puzzle range from 200 to 1,000 DP. Completing duels unlocks more puzzles until Limited Duels appear on the menu options.
Choose "Limited Duels" to face virtual opponents that impose a major disadvantage on the player. Limited Duels change the rules of the game, allowing only a specific level of monster or preventing spells and traps outright. Defeating challengers in Limited Duels provides between 500 and 2,500 DP. It also unlocks the ability to play Theme Duels.
Join Theme Duel matches to earn even more DP. Theme Duels require a specific goal in order to win the match. These duels range from opponents with 10,000 health to causing 8,000 damage in a single attack. Theme Duels provide 1,000 DP and more based on the challenges that appear throughout the match.
Select "Survival Duel" upon completion of the Theme Duels. Survival Duel mode allows a player to continue playing opponents until his life total reaches zero. Each opponent defeated provides 1,000 or more DP, and the amount provided increases as the number of competitors rises. Virtual opponents cycle in and out, so no hard limit exists on the amount of DP available through Survival Duels.
