How to Get the Latios and Latias Mission in 'Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team'

"Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team" is a Pokemon spinoff series, released in 2005 for the Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance. The gameplay resembles an obscure type of dungeon crawl role-playing game called a "Rougelike," best known for their extreme difficulty, deliberate movement, incomplete information and steep learning curve. In addition to the main dungeon crawling mission, there are several lost Pokemon that you can search for as side quests.

Instructions

  Complete the main quest, then return to the Wigglytuff Club. Purchase "Southern Island" for 9,500 PokeDollars. Go to bed. When your character wakes up, the mission "Northern Range" will be available.

  Go to Northern Range and make your way to level 25. This dungeon is recommended for level 35 characters or higher, which is where you should be at this point, due to beating the main quest. Defeat Latios at the end of this dungeon with a combination of Electric, Ice and Rock Pokemon and "Pitfall Valley" will unlock.

  Make it to the end of Pitfall Valley, on Level 25, which is as difficult as the previous dungeon but has no boss fight. Instead, at the end, Latios will show up with Latias, and they will ask you in a cut scene to join your party; you will automatically accept the request.
