How to Get Blast Burn in Ruby

Nintendo's "Pokemon Ruby" and "Sapphire" are part of the third generation of video games in the "Pokemon" series and were released for the Game Boy Advance handheld system. Together, with the other "Generation III" titles, "Emerald," "FireRed" and "LeafGreen," it is possible to obtain all Pokemon and moves from the first three parts of this gaming series. Blast Burn is a rare, special attack that must be taught to one special Pokemon of the Fire type.

Instructions

    • 1

Start a brand new game in "FireRed" or "LeafGreen" and select Charmander as your starter Pokemon. This is the only Charmander in the game that will learn the move as Charizard.

    • 2

Train the Charmander until it gains enough experience to reach level 36. It will evolve into Charmeleon along the way and Charizard upon reaching that level.

    • 3

Go to Cape Brink on Sevii's "Two Island," also known as "Boon Island." Enter the house in this small region.

    • 4

Rearrange your team so that Charizard is in first slot. Talk to the elderly woman in the house and she will teach it Blast Burn.

    • 5

Trade the Charizard to "Ruby" by linking the games together with the link cable and two Game Boy Advance systems.
