How to Combine Magicite in Multiplayer on Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles

"Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles" provides players with a unique multi-player experience on the Nintendo Game Boy. Up to three players can cooperate as they battle monsters and try to survive a foul gas that covers the entire "Final Fantasy" world. Casting magic is very different than in previous "Final Fantasy" games. Players collect or purchase magic spheres called "magicite" that can be used immediately by tossing them or stored for use later. There are six basic types of magic that players can combine to create stronger and new magics. Two or more players can combine magic by using "spell fusion."

  Join a multi-player game with one or two other players who each have a Nintendo Game Boy. Connect the multi-player cables from the Game Cube to each Game Boy game console. Insert the "Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles" game disc into the game console and start the game.

  Equip each player with magicite spheres. Select a magicite sphere, such as red for the "fire" spell. Press and hold the action buttons on each Game Boy console to activate a magic circle where the magic will be cast. Hold the action button for about three seconds.

  Release the action buttons simultaneously when all magic circles combine. Experiment with different combinations of magicites, such as fire plus blizzard (red and blue magicites) to cast the gravity spell. Combine more than one magicite of the same color to double and triple the power of the spell, such as two fire magicites or three thunder magicites.
