How to Get a Gun Guy in Final Fantasy Tactics GBA

SquareEnix released "Final Fantasy Tactics Advance," a strategy role-playing game, for the Game Boy Advance in 2003. Unlike other role-playing games, each character can assume any role, called "jobs," in-game. For example, your main character can be a Warrior or a White Mage and can change jobs at any time. The Gunner job specializes in using guns and is the only character class available that can use them. To make a character a Gunner, that character must first satisfy the pre-requisite to unlocking the job.

Instructions

    • 1

Press "Start" and select "Party" when you are on the map screen. You cannot change jobs while in battle.

    • 2

Select the character that you want to make a Gunner.

    • 3

Select "Change Jobs" and choose "Animist." The Animist is one of the first jobs taught to you automatically at the beginning of the game. You must learn one skill as an Animist before you can become a Gunner.

    • 4

Equip a weapon or a piece of armor with an Animist ability. For example, the "Glass Bell" weapon allows an Animist to learn the "Sheep Count" ability.

    • 5

Complete battles using your Animist. At the end of each battle, your characters are awarded Ability Points, called "AP" in-game, based on the difficulty of the battle. When you have earned enough AP with a weapon or armor, you learn the skill associated with it. For example, 100 AP is required to learn "Sheep Count" from the "Glass Bell."

    • 6

Select "Change Jobs" from the menu once your Animist has learned one ability. The Gunner job is now available to select.

    • 7

Select "Gunner" from the job list to turn your character into a Gunner, giving him the ability to use guns.
