How to Catch Pikachu in Emerald on a Game Boy

"Pokemon Emerald" is the third game in the Pokemon franchise, released for the Gameboy Advance. "Emerald" adds updated graphics, new maps and new Pokemon to the franchise. In addition, "Emerald" contains enough tournaments and extra multiplayer options to keep any trainer occupied. Of course, the famed Pikachu returns in Emerald and makes a strong addition to any trainer's team.

     Journey to the Safari Zone.

   • 2

     Travel to the west edge of the Safari Zone.

   • 3

     Walk back and forth until you engage in a random encounter with Pikachu.

   • 4

     Throw safari balls at the Pikachu until it is captured.
