How to Get Rid of HM Attacks in Pokemon Yellow

In the "Pokemon Yellow" version, players can catch and train many species of Pokemon as they embark on a journey to become the ultimate Pokemon champion. As Pokemon level up, they can evolve and learn up to four offensive and defensive moves. If you want to get rid of an HM attack move, you can do so once the Pokemon reaches a level where he can learn a new move. Once you get rid of an HM attack move, you cannot get it back unless you can purchase the HM attack move at the Celadon City department store or find it in the wild.

     Level up your Pokemon until it is ready to learn a new move. A message will appear asking if you want to delete an older move to make room for a new move.

     Scroll down with the "Down" key on your GameBoy device to the HM attack move you want to get rid of and replace.

     Highlight the attack move you want to replace and press the "A" button on your device. Press the "Yes" option when it asks for confirmation.
