How to Get Unlimited Rare Candies on Pokemon Ruby Using GameShark

The item Rare Candy has figured into the "Pokemon" series of video games since the initial "Blue" and "Red" installments. Rare Candy allows you to level up your Pokemon without having to earn experience points. Using Rare Candy repeatedly makes it easier for you to have high-level Pokemon early in the game. Since "Rare Candy" is a very difficult to find item in "Pokemon Ruby;" however, you will have to use a device such as a GameShark to obtain a large number of them.

Things You'll Need

Pokemon Ruby cartridge
GameShark unit

Instructions

  Place your "Pokemon Ruby" cartridge in the cartridge slot of your GameShark unit.

  Put the GameShark unit in your Gameboy Advance's cartridge slot.

  Flip Gameshark switch to on and power up the Gameboy Advance.

  Select "Enter New Code" from the Gameshark menu and input either of the following codes: 280ea266 or 88a62e5c.

  Travel to a Pokemon Center or other PC location. If you look in your item box, you will find a "Rare Candy." Repeat the code as often as you like, earning unlimited "Rare Candies."
