How to Get the Cane of Pacci

The Cane of Pacci is a special item in the Game Boy Advance role-playing adventure game "The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap." The Cane of Pacci is a magical cane that fires magical energy that can knock over enemies as well as large objects. The cane's energy can also be concentrated on the ground, allowing Link to bounce high in the air by jumping on the energized area of floor. You'll find the cane while passing through the Cave of Flames area. This item is vital in completing that stage of the game.

Instructions

  Enter the Cave of Flames by passing through the caves in the Mt. Crenel area. Attack one of the bombs in the first room with your sword to set it running around, and throw it at the wall at the top of the room to blast a way through.

  Fight your way through the next couple of rooms, picking up the Compass item on the way, and descend the staircase. When you reach a fork in the road, go right and use the mine cart to ride to the end of the track.

  Go left through the next few rooms and use the bomb-shaped enemies again to blast open the wall that blocks progress to the left. Kill the enemies inside and you'll get a Shrinking Stone---use it to shrink in size and head through the passage at the top right of the room to continue.

  Turn back to normal size using the stone at the other end of the passage. Go up the stairs and get the Dungeon Map. Head back downstairs and use the shifting platforms to collect the Kinstone Piece from the chest in the middle of the room and get to the exit at the bottom left.

  Hit the enemies in the next room with your sword to make them curl up, and throw them into the holes in the ground to progress. Collect the 50 rupees from the chest and go up the stairs. Get the small key from the next room and hop in the mine cart to continue onward.

  Use the key to activate the switches at the end of the cart ride. Hit the switch opposite the cart and jump back in to move off again. Avoid the traps and kill the enemies as you move on, until the cart flips over and you have to proceed on foot.

  Head through the door at the top of the screen and jump down to the ledge. Eight metal enemies will appear---use bombs to stun them so that they go into their vulnerable stone form, and kill them with your sword. Once you have defeated all eight, a chest will appear containing the Cane of Pacci.
