How to Get Jirachi in ''Sapphire''

Jirachi is a Legendary Pokemon that first made an appearance in "Pokemon Sapphire." You cannot catch this Steel- and Psychic-type Pokemon during normal game play in "Pokemon Sapphire." The only way you can legitimately get this Pokemon is by attending a Nintendo Event. If you cannot attend a promotional event, Action Replay is the only way you can get this Pokemon to complete your National Pokedex.

Instructions

  Buy a used Action Replay Max GBA from an online auction website. Datel no longer manufactures Action Replay Max GBA, so you will have to purchase it used. As of July 2011, you can purchase Action Replay Max GBA for $50 to $100.

  Insert "Pokemon Sapphire" into the Action Replay Max GBA. Make sure the label of the "Pokemon Sapphire" game cartridge is facing upward. Put the Action Replay Max GBA into the top slot of your GBA. Turn on your GBA.

  Use the Directional Pad and the "A" button to choose the "Select Codes" option. Highlight "Add" with the D-pad and press "A." Enter "Jirachi Cheat" or something similar as the name of the cheat. Select the "Next" key when you're done entering the name.

  Double-check the code to make sure it's accurate. Select "Next" to confirm the code. You will return to the "Code Select Screen." Enable the code by pressing "A." Press the "Start" button to begin playing "Pokemon Sapphire" with the cheat enabled.

  Go to any route and walk in the long grass until you encounter Jirachi. Weaken it with fighting-type moves. Throw Pokeballs until you catch the Legendary Hoenn Pokemon.
