How to Get the Go Goggles in Pokemon Sapphire

In "Pokemon Sapphire," you may occasionally find your path blocked by bad weather. For example, a sandstorm constantly rages on the road north of Mauville City. If you can get past it, you can reach the Desert Ruins, where several special treasures are hidden. To get through the sandstorm, you need the Go-Goggles. The Go-Goggles are given to you by your rival after you defeat the Gym Leader in Lavaridge Town.

Instructions

  Go to Lavaridge Town after you leave Fallarbor Town and defeat the Team Magma members at Mt. Chimney. Lavaridge Town is at the end of route 112, to the northwest of Mauville City.

  Go inside the Gym in the center of Lavaridge Town. You have to navigate through the maze to reach the Gym Leader. Each panel you step on takes you to a new room.

  Stand on the left panel to go to the next room. Stand on the only panel in the second room to move forward.

  Step on the top-left panel to go to a new room. Once you're there, stand on the only panel in the room. Use the left panel in the next room and the top-right panel in the room after that. Step on the only panel in the next room.

  Walk on the bottom-right panel in the next room and then step on the only panel available in the room after that. You'll arrive in front of the Gym Leader, Flannery.

  Battle and defeat the Gym Leader. She uses a team that consists of all Fire-type Pokemon, so use Water-type moves to knock them out in one or two hits. After the fight, leave the Gym. Your rival will approach you and hand you the Go-Goggles.
