How to Do 99 Rare Candy Trick in Pokemon Sapphire

The rare candy item enables a Pokemon to instantly level up without fighting in battle in all "Pokemon" games. In later games, rare candy also improves a Pokemon's happiness. However, a finite number of these resources appear in "Pokemon Sapphire." If you aspire to level up a Pokemon until it reaches Level 100, you can overcome the limitations on rare candy in "Sapphire." Proceed with caution whenever using tricks and cheats to duplicate items, as these efforts could result in lost game data.

Instructions

  Load your saved game file on "Sapphire" and travel to locations where rare candy appears in-game. Routes 108, 110, 111, 119, 123, Shoal Cave and Mt. Pyre house rare candies. These locations rest within the Hoenn region. Shoal Cave lies north of Route 125, and Mt. Pyre lies north of Route 122.

  Capture a low-level, weak Pokemon not intended for long-term use, as the process of copying rare candies may result in its loss. Select a rare candy as the Pokemon's hold item. Go to the Battle Frontier's Battle Tower and access Lanette's PC. Deposit the Pokemon holding the rare candy into an empty box.

  Save your game and access Lanette's PC again to withdraw the Pokemon deposited in Step 2. Travel to the desk on the right of the room and speak to the woman there to enter into a Pokemon battle. Choose two Pokemon to enter into the battle. These Pokemon should not be the Pokemon holding the rare candy.

  Save your game when prompted. Turn off the game. Turn on the system again and load your saved file. The Pokemon holding the rare candy should appear both in the deposit box of Lanette's PC and in your current Pokemon party. Repeat the process multiple times, removing each cloned Pokemon's rare candy as its hold item.
