How to Catch Celebi in Pokemon Silver, Gold & Crystal

The Pokemon Silver, Gold and Crystal video games all play very similarly and make up the second generation of the Pokemon video game franchise. Celebi is the 251st Pokemon players find during all three versions of the game. He is said to have the power to travel through time and leaves behind eggs he brought from the future. Normally, you don't get to catch Celebi until the very end of the game; however, you can use a gameshark cheat code to get him much sooner.

     Type the code "0173F2D0" into your gameshark and head to a Pokemart to buy a GS Ball.

     Save the game and shut the system off. Turn the machine and game back on.

   • 3

     Type the code "914089DA" and talk with Kurt. He takes the GS Ball but will give it back to you when you talk to him again the next day.

   • 4

     Head to Ilex Shrine and leave the GS Ball there. Celebi will come out and attack you.

   • 5

     Weaken Celebi and catch him.
