How to Get Through the Seafoam Island Cave

In "Pokemon FireRed" and "Pokemon LeafGreen," you can defeat or catch three Legendary Bird Pokemon. One of these Pokemon is Articuno, which is an Ice- and Flying-type. You can catch this Pokemon at Level 50 on the fourth floor of the Seafoam Island Cave. Many people have trouble catching Articuno because they have a hard time getting to the end of Seafoam Island Cave. Some players spend hours trying to get through Seafoam Island Cave.

Instructions

  Purchase an Escape Rope, 30 Max Repels and at least 50 Ultra Balls from a PokeMart. Teach a Pokemon in your party "Surf" and "Strength." Head south of the Pokemon Center in Fuchsia City. Jump the ledges and surf southwest until you reach Seafoam Island Cave. You will fight a few Pokemon Trainers in the water.

  Go inside the cave and head right. Use "Strength" to push the boulder into the hole. Return to the entrance and pick up the "Ice Heal." Push the boulder to the left of the entrance into the hole. Fall into the hole. Continue pushing the boulder until it falls into a hole. Fall in after it.

  Leave the boulder in the water and surf to land. Run to the left and ascend the ladder. Walk left and then down towards the boulder maze. Find the boulder that is left of a pair of boulders. Push that boulder to the left. Locate the rock that is directly above the hole and move it down.

  Go to the pair of boulders. Use "Strength" on the right boulder and move it all the way up. Move the left boulder into the nearest hole. Once you push the boulder inside, fall in. Two boulders will prevent the currents from sweeping you away.

  Head up until you reach land. You will see a sprite of Articuno on the piece of land. Save your game in front of the Legendary Bird Pokemon. Once you catch Articuno, you can use the Escape Rope to exit the Seafoam Island Cave.
