How to Get Eevee on Pokemon Emerald for GBA

Eevee, classified as the "Evolution Pokemon," is from the first-generation Pokemon games. To get Eevee in "Pokemon Emerald," a third-generation game, you need one of two other third-generation games: "Pokemon FireRed" or "Pokemon LeafGreen." While receiving Eevee on your copy of "Pokemon Emerald" doesn't require anything other than the Pokedex given to you at the beginning of the game, trading from "Pokemon FireRed" and "Pokemon LeafGreen" to "Pokemon Emerald" must be unlocked in either version. On top of this, you must also acquire an Eevee to trade, which is easily found in Celadon City.

Things You'll Need

  • "Pokemon FireRed"/"Pokemon LeafGreen"
  • "Pokemon Emerald"

Instructions

  1. Unlock Trading Between "FireRed"/"LeafGreen" and "Emerald"

    • 1

Play through "Pokemon FireRed" or "Pokemon LeafGreen" until you have collected 60 Pokemon and defeated the Elite Four. This may take some time. If you already accomplished these feats, you may skip this step.

    • 2

Fly or walk to Vermilion City, head to the dock and speak with the sailor there; he will let you travel to One Island.

    • 3

Speak with Celio in the Pokemon Network Center to begin your quest to find the Ruby and Sapphire, two items needed to trade Pokemon with "Pokemon Ruby," "Pokemon Sapphire" and "Pokemon Emerald."

    • 4

Surf on the water east of One Island until you reach Kindle Road which should be followed north until you reach Mt. Ember.

    • 5

Explore Mt. Ember until you find the Ruby. Expect to fight a lot of wild Pokemon and Team Rocket Members.

    • 6

Bring the Ruby back to Celio at the Pokemon Network Center to receive the Rainbow Pass, which allows you to travel to your next destination: Four Island.

    • 7

Take the ferry to Four Island and complete the quest there. Here, you will receive HM 07, a hidden machine that allows you to use Pokemon to climb waterfalls.

    • 8

Head to Six Island next, following the path to the east of town, and then south to the Ruin Valley.

    • 9

Enter the ruins by using "Cut" on the door. Here you will find the Sapphire, but a scientist takes it away and heads off to Five Island.

    • 10

Head to Five Island, going east and then south until you reach the Rocket Warehouse.

    • 11

Defeat the Pokemon trainers in the Rocket Warehouse to recover the Sapphire.

    • 12

Bring both the Ruby and Sapphire to Celio back at the Pokemon Network Center on One Island. Celio will now allow you to trade Pokemon with "Pokemon Emerald," "Pokemon Ruby" and "Pokemon Sapphire."

Find Eevee in "Pokemon FireRed" or "Pokemon LeafGreen"

    • 13

Fly or walk to Celadon City. Celadon City is located directly west of Saffron City via Route 7, north of Fuchsia city via Cycling Road.

    • 14

Follow the path behind the Pokemon Center near Route 7 along the edge of Celadon City.

    • 15

Walk in through the rear entrance of Celadon Mansion and follow the stairs to the top floor.

    • 16

Enter the building on the top floor, approach the Pokeball on the table and press the action button. Eevee is now yours.

    Trade Eevee to Emerald

    • 17

Power on "Pokemon Emerald" and the "Pokemon LeafGreen" or "Pokemon FireRed" version in which you've both acquired Eevee and unlocked the ability to trade with other versions.

    • 18

Connect each end of the Game Boy Advance game link cable to the game link port on both Game Boy Advance consoles.

    • 19

Travel to the nearest Pokemon Center in both games and head to the second floor to access the Trade Center.

    • 20

Speak with the representative at the Trade Center simultaneously on both games to initiate the trade process and start the trade.

    • 21

Follow the on screen instructions to trade Eevee for any of the Pokemon in your "Pokemon Emerald" party.
