How to Catch Vulpix in Pokemon Gold

In a player's quest to become Grand Champion, players of the game "Pokemon Gold" are challenged to "Catch 'em all." While most of the Pokemon listed in the Pokedex can be found within "Gold," some Pokemon are exclusive to the game's sister title, "Pokemon Silver." Pokemon that are not found naturally in a game can still be acquired, however, through trading. Vulpix, a fire-type Pokemon, can be had in "Pokemon Gold" through the trading process.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn on "Pokemon Silver" and catch a Vulpix. The fox Pokemon can be found along Routes 7, 8, 36 and 37. Wear down the Vulpix when you meet one in battle and capture it in a Poke Ball.

    • 2

Travel to a Pokemon Center, head upstairs to the second floor and use the computer to add Vulpix to your party, if it is not already there.

    • 3

Turn on "Pokemon Gold" and have your character travel to any Pokemon Center. Like in the other game, your character should head to the second floor.

    • 4

Connect the link cable to each of the Game Boy systems and talk to the women behind the middle counter to set up the connection. Players in both games will need to talk to the woman at the same time.

    • 5

Enter the trading room and send Vulpix from "Silver" to "Gold."
