How to Get to Powerplant in LeafGreen

The Power Plant in "Pokemon LeafGreen" is an optional side quest you can embark on if you want to capture the legendary bird-Pokemon, Zapdos. You must have the HM Surf to reach the Power Plant, which is obtained from the Warden at the Safari Zone. In addition to finding Zapdos, you can retrieve a variety of items, such as Max Potions and the TM 17 Protect, inside the Power Plant.

Instructions

  Travel to Fuchsia City and defeat the Gym Leader, Koga, who is in the building marked "Gym." This will earn you the Soul Badge, which is necessary to equip the HM Surf to your Pokemon.

  Travel to Cerulean City and head north from the Pokemon Center, which has the letters "PC" on it, until you reach a river.

  Equip the HM Surf to one of your Water-type Pokemon (such as Seaking or Blastoise) and travel down the river. Continue following the river west until you reach a large building. This is the Power Plant.

  Get out of the river and walk toward the man standing outside the Power Plant. He will challenge you to a Pokemon battle before you can enter the plant. Defeat him and enter the Power Plant by simply walking through the front doors.
