Finding Money
If luck is not on your side, you can still make money in the Game Corner by finding coins that others have left behind. Go up the first aisle and stand at the last station to the left side. Move up one space and then right one space. Once there, press the "A" button and you will find 100 coins. Wandering around the Game Corner and tapping "A" can cause you to stumble across varying amounts of money.
Taking Money
Other residents of Celadon City are gambling at the machines in Game Corner. They have become so preoccupied with the spinning dials that they will not even notice if you steal coins from them. Approach people sitting at a machine and tap the "B" button. Occasionally you will be rewarded with 10 or 20 coins. This trick no longer works after you have gained at least 120 coins.
Playing the Odds
Find the right slot machine that pays out for you. Each machine has its own set of odds. Do not expect winning to be immediate, but if a machine has gone cold try another spot or leave for awhile and come back. When a machine is hot, keep playing it. Additionally, having a Chansey in your party may increase your luck.
Cashing In
When you have enough coins, trade them in for Pokemon or Technical Moves (TMs). You can buy these things from the attendants along the back of the room. The Pokemon that you can buy from the Game Corner are Abra, Clafairy, Nidorino, Pinsir, Dratini and Porygon. The cost of these Pokemon vary between 120 and 6,500 coins. The three TMs for sale are Dragon Rage (3,330 coins), Hyper Beam (5,500 coins) and Substitute (7,700 coins).
