How to Get the Poke Flute in Pokemon Yellow: Special Pikachu Edition

"Pokemon Yellow: Special Pikachu Edition" is an expansion to the original "Pokemon Red" and "Pokemon Blue" versions, featuring a new plot that closely follows the Pokemon anime cartoon storyline. In "Pokemon Yellow," a Poke Flute is a key item used to awaken any sleeping Pokemon. The Poke Flute can be obtained in Lavender Town after defeating Jessie and James at the top of the Pokemon Tower.

  Travel to Lavender Town and enter the Pokemon Tower, located in the easternmost part of town.

  Go up the stairs to the second floor and defeat your rival to continue up to the second floor.

  Proceed up the third and fourth floors, battling trainers and Ghost-type Pokemon such as Ghastly and Haunter along the way.

  Defeat the level 30 Marowak that appears before you go up the stairs to the fifth floor.

  Go up the stairs to the fifth floor and battle Jessie and James. They each have an Arbok and a Wheezing at level 27. Defeat their two Pokemon by using super-effective Ground and Psychic-type attacks.

  Head to the northern part of the tower and talk to Mr. Fuji. He will take you back to his house and hand you a Poke Flute as a reward for rescuing him and defeating Team Rocket.
