Defeat the optional boss Flamman V2, which becomes accessible after defeating Flamman V1 during the course of the game storyline. Enter Undernet 5 by jacking into any computer in SciLab 1. SciLab 1 can be reached by purchasing a ticket from the subway located south of your house. Proceed along the path until you reach a dead end at the end of Undernet 5 to battle Flamman V2. Once the battle is complete, open the game menu and jack out.
Go to Yoka 1 by purchasing a subway ticket and jack into any computer. Wander around until Flamman V3 appears as a random battle.
Return to Undernet 5 and exit to the next map north and follow the conveyors toward the West side of the map. You will find a large cube; it will open now that Flamman V3 has been defeated. Enter the teleporter behind the security cube to enter Undernet 7. Turn left at the entrance and follow this path straight up to find the merchant who sells an item called Serenade's Hammer. The merchant will charge you 50 Bug Frags (a currency that is used for various tasks in the game, such as purchasing rare items, and that can be gained by killing an enemy while it is mid-attack; you will be rewarded such earned Bug Frags at the end of a battle).
Answer all four of the quizzes located throughout the game. Mr. Quiz can be found in the hallway of the Yoka Inn. Quiz Master is located in the back of the Hot Springs in the Yoka Inn. Find Quiz Queen on the third floor of the hospital. The final quiz is Quiz King's, atop Hades Isle. All these areas can be reached through the subway system once they have been unlocked through story events.
Jack into the gargoyle statue on Hades Isle to enter the Hades Isle network. You will find a Bug Frag merchant near the entrance. Purchase the Giga-level chip NaviRcycl from the merchant for 200 Frags.
Buy a ticket to Yoka. Exit the station and enter the inn nearby. Walk to the back room to the Hot Springs. Examine the crack in the boulder behind the waterfall to find a hidden elevator. Select yes from the menu to take the elevator down into a server room with a large computer against the back wall. Jack into the computer to enter Secret Area 1.
Travel through Secret Area 1, smashing any monoliths blocking your path using the hammer you purchased in the Undernet.
Reach Dark Man at the end of Secret Area 1 to enter Secret Area 2. You will know you're going in the right direction when monoliths block your way. Simply continue straight through the zone until you reach a gate with a question mark on it. This door will open, leading you to the battle against Dark Man, provided you completed all four of the quizzes in step 4.
Defeat Japan Man at the end of Secret Area 2 to enter Secret Area 3. Use the monoliths to guide yourself along the correct path until you reach another gate. This gate will only open if you possess at least one Giga chip. The NaviRcycl chip purchased in step 5 will fulfill this requirement, opening the gate and triggering the battle against Japan Man.
Wander around Secret Area 3 until you have an encounter with one of the following viruses: Scutz, Scuttle, Scuttler, Scuttzer or Scuttlest. There is a third gate near the entrance of Secret 3, but it is not necessary to open it to find Scutz viruses.
Defeat one of the Scutz family viruses as quickly as possible to improve your likelihood of obtaining a high busting rank, thus increasing your odds of getting a Life Aura as a drop from the Scutz family member.
