How to Get to the Southern Face Shrine

The Southern Face Shrine is a critical area in the main quest of the action-adventure video game "The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening," released in 1993 for the Nintendo Game Boy. You must navigate the Southern Face Shrine in order to eventually obtain one of the instruments needed to wake the Wind Fish: the Coral Triangle. The shrine is filled with statues that will awaken and attack you if you touch them.

Instructions

    • 1

Exit Catfish Maw after defeating the boss and collecting the Wind Marimba.

    • 2

Go right one screen, get on land and go northeast until you come to an altar with two statues. The owl will land and talk to you.

    • 3

Head one screen to the right after the owl is finished. Hurl the stones out of the way and slash through the bushes, and go right again.

    • 4

Go south once, and you will have arrived at the Southern Face Shrine.
