Cheats & Walkthroughs for Pokemon Sapphire

"Pokemon Sapphire" is a role-playing video game released in 2003 for the Game Boy Advance. Like many other Pokemon titles, it was released alongside another slightly different version of the game, "Pokemon: Ruby Version" in this case. The aim of Sapphire is to collect, train and then battle creatures called Pokemon. There are many cheats and walkthroughs for this game.
  1. Two-for-One Experience Points

    • Before starting a battle, choose a Pokemon that needs more experience points as your first Pokemon. The battle will start, but don't start fighting; instead, swap to a Pokemon strong enough to easily win instead. Both the strong and weak Pokemon gain experience points after you win, even though the weaker Pokemon did nothing.

    Secret Pokemon

    • Go to the river in the Battle Frontier. Surf downward until you encounter a cave. Walk into the cave and you will find secret Pokemon hidden there. These creatures can perform only a single attack, but it is a valuable one. The secret Pokemon have the ability to steal any attack from another Pokemon.

    Guaranteed Lottery Win

    • Get to Lilycove Counter and save your game file. Wait until the day has passed and then play the lottery. If the lottery numbers match at least two of the numbers on your original trainer ID, you win a prize. The top prize, however, requires a total of five matches; this is a Master Ball. Of course, you can never expect to win the lottery -- unless, that is, you can keep on attempting it. Reload the saved game and play again until you win.

    Revive Fossilized Pokemon

    • Head to the top right corner of the sandstorm in Route 111. Two fossils will be lying there. Using a trick, you can later turn the Root Fossil into the Pokemon Lileep and the Claw fossil into Anorith, so make your choice. Take a fossil to Rustboro City and go to the President's office. Walk into the room full of scientists and speak to the scientist in the bottom right corner. Leave the room, wait half a minute and then return. Speak to the same man and he will give you back a Pokemon instead of a fossil. Whether you receive Lileep or Anorith depends on the choice you made earlier.
