How Can I Get Rayquaza in Ruby?

Rayquaza, a territorial dragon and flying-type legendary Pokemon, seldom makes its presence known to humans. In "Pokemon Ruby," though, you have a chance to capture the beast. It generally spends all of its time flying high above the clouds, circling the earth. Rayquaza only stops flying to regain its strength at the Sky Tower. This is when you will find Rayquaza and confront the creature. The path to Rayquaza only opens, however, after you have beaten the Elite Four.

Instructions

- 1
  Defeat all members of the Elite Four trainers, found in a building past Victory Road. This opens the path to Rayquaza.

  Go to Pacifidlog Town. Leave the town via the east exit. Walk up to the water when you reach it and then select "Yes" to surf on it.

  Continue to head east. Surf north at the first junction. Get out of the water. Walk farther until the path splits. Take the middle path north.

  Walk until you reach a cave. Enter the cave and walk to the other end. Go through the door to enter the Sky Tower.

  Get on your Acro bike. You receive this bike when you speak to the man in the Slateport City bike shop. Ride the bike across the cracks in the floor. Do not stop moving, or you will fall.

  Walk up to Rayquaza at the top of the Sky Tower. Talk to it to start a battle. Use your strongest ice and rock moves against Rayquaza to seriously damage it. If possible, put it to sleep to prevent it from healing itself. When Rayquaza's health bar is red, throw your best Poke Balls at it to catch it.
