How to Forget HM in SoulSilver

Like its predecessors, "Pokemon SoulSilver" contains various HMs throughout the game. HMs serve as abilities that you can teach your Pokemon. Your Pokemon can use the HM ability during battle or outside of battle. Although HMs have a use at some point during the game, you may wish to delete an HM so you can teach your Pokemon an additional ability. A man in Blackthorn City specializes in deleted abilities.

     Visit Blackthorn City. The city lies to the northeast of Route 46 and directly east of Route 44.

     Go to the southwestern part of town. A small house will appear with a large rock sitting to the left. Enter the house.

   • 3

     Talk to the man standing to the left once you enter the house. He will declare himself the Move Deleter. Choose a Pokemon whose ability you wish to delete, then select the ability you wish to delete.
