How to Catch Celebi in Pokemon Gold With Cheats

"Pokemon Gold" is a role-playing game for the Game Boy Color that features over 150 Pokemon for you to capture. One of the rarest Pokemon in the entire game is the Psychic/Grass type Pokemon Celebi. The Pokemon is extremely difficult to catch unless you have a GameShark device. If you do have such a device, you can easily input a simple cheat code to instantly find, battle and capture the rare Pokemon.

Instructions

  Insert your GameShark device into your Nintendo handheld system. The device should fit snugly into the cartridge slot.

  Insert your "Pokemon Gold" cartridge into the GameShark device. The top of the cartridge will be exposed so it can be easily pulled out when needed.

  Turn on your GameShark and Game Boy Color. The system should boot to the GameShark menu.

  Press "A" on the "Codes" menu. You will be able to input a code at this point for the inserted game.

  Enter "01FBEDD0" and press "Start" to save the code.

  Turn on the cheat by pressing "A" on the created code.

  Boot up your saved game of "Pokemon Gold."

  Walk into any area that has wild Pokemon encounters. These include the ocean, tall grass and caves. The first Pokemon you battle will be Celebi.

  Capture Celebi by lowering the Pokemon's health and then throwing a PokeBall at it. The Grass type Pokemon is extremely vulnerable to Fire type Pokemon, but do not use a move that will defeat the enemy in a single blow.
