How to Change Time in Sapphire

Generation three of Pokémon, "Sapphire," "Ruby" and "Emerald," have a built-in clock that you can sync with your own time. When the clock is in sync with the time on your watch or computer, it makes the gaming experience feel more realistic. Unfortunately, the in-game clock neither takes into account daylight savings -- nor will it automatically change -- like your cellphone does, when you travel between time-zones. Although other Pokémon games address this issue by allowing you to change the clock, in generation three the only time that you can change the clock is when you start a new game.

Instructions

    • 1

Reset your Gameboy, if it is currently on. Cycle through menu options and choose new game.

    • 2

Go to your room when she tells you to. In your room you'll find a PC, a bed, and a clock.

    • 3

Look at the clock and the game will prompt you to set the time. Sync it with the time on your computer or watch. If daylight savings is coming soon, consider setting the time to an hour ahead or behind. If you are moving soon, consider setting the time to the time-zone for where you are moving.
