How to Play the Video Game Yu-Gi-Oh! Dungeon Dice Monsters

"Yu-Gi-Oh! Dungeon Dice Monsters" is a Yu-Gi-Oh! game that lets you do battle with monster dice instead of cards. The core gameplay is still the same, as you will be using summoned monsters to defeat your opponent. However, the main objective of this game is to protect your die master while moving across the board to attack and defeat your opponent's die master.

Instructions

  1. Controls

    • 1

Move your character and select different options by using the D-pad, or directional pad.

    • 2

Press the "A" button to confirm selections and the "B" button to cancel them. Press the "Start" button to open the game's menu.

    • 3

Press the "L" button to view the information on your dice. Press the "R" button to rotate a dungeon's path or change your selected monster.

    Playing the Game

    • 4

Select which dice you want to roll. You are allowed to roll three dice per turn. The maximum amount of dice you can carry into a battle is 15. There are four different levels of dice you can roll.

    • 5

Summon monsters by rolling your dice and having them all land on a summon crest of the same level. Monsters are split into four different power levels, with the strongest monsters able to be summoned by only the highest-level dice. Level 1 dice have four summon crests, Level 2 dice have three, Level 3 dice have two and Level 4 dice have one.

    • 6

Select a path that leads toward your opponents path. Each path starts in front of a die master, and summon monsters have six squares from which they can travel in any direction. The goal is to link up with your opponent's path and use it to travel to and defeat their die master. Die master's only have three hearts of health, and any attack from any monster counts as one heart of damage.

    • 7

Roll your dice to stock up on ability points. Ability points can be gained by any dice rolled that does not land on a summon crest. Ability points are used to do everything on the game board such as moving, attacking and defending. Each level of dice gives out different ability points, so check your dice carefully before you roll them.

    • 8

Prepare to fight. Once your pathway is connected to your opponents, you will be able to send monsters over to their side. In doing this, you will encounter your opponents monsters. Ensure that you have enough ability points saved to order your monsters to attack, move and defend before you begin moving over toward your opponent's side.

    • 9

Use the dice "auto-select" feature if you are confused as to which dice you need to roll to get what you want. You can select what you want from your dice roll (summon a monster, gain attack or defense ability points) and the auto-select feature will roll the dice that give you the best chance of getting your selection.
