How to Hook Pokemon Sapphire to GameCube

Certain GameCube games allow you to connect your Game Boy Advance to the console and use the data it contains to control in-game events. For example, in the GameCube game "Pokémon Colosseum," you can connect your copy of "Pokémon Sapphire" and import your strongest creatures to do battle in a fully realized 3D world. Connecting "Sapphire" to the GameCube only works with compatible games.

  Plug the wider portion of the GameCube Game Boy Advance Link Cable into the "EXT" port on your Game Boy device.

  Run the other end of the cord into an open controller slot on the GameCube console.

  Turn on your GameCube and load the game you wish to play. "Sapphire" can be linked to "Pokémon Box," "Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness," and "Pokémon Colosseum."

  Load your copy of "Pokémon Sapphire" into the Game Boy Advance and turn the power on.

  Follow the on-screen instructions to move data between games or activate special syncing features.
