How to Get Lugia in LeafGreen

In "Pokémon LeafGreen," Lugia is a legendary Pokémon of the Flying and Psychic types. It is a valuable asset to any team, since it has remarkably strong defenses and special attack moves. When it grows to level 70, Lugia learns the special attacks Rain Dance, Hydro Pump, Recover and Swift. You can find it on the island of Navel Rock, a location that can only be accessed by players in possession of a Mystery Ticket item. Nintendo distributes Mystery Tickets to players who visit special kiosks at Nintendo World or attend select promotional Nintendo events.

  Go to docks at the southernmost point of Vermillion City.

  Present the Mystery Ticket to the person at end of the dock. This will transport you to Navel Rock via the Seagallop Ferry.

  Enter the cave at Navel Rock.

  Walk to the right once you are inside the cave, and take the first ladder downwards.

  Descend a series of five more ladders until you enter a room containing mostly water. Lugia will be sitting in the center of the room.

  Engage Lugia in battle by walking up to it.
- 7
  Battle Lugia until it has only a small amount of health remaining.
- 8
  Throw a Poké Ball at Lugia to catch it.
