How to Kill Pickachu

Pokemon battles are a critical component of the Pokemon video game series. Two or more Pokemon will battle on behalf of their trainers in order to determine who is the strongest. Many of the video games feature the franchise's most popular Pokemon, Pikachu. Regarded as the face of the franchise, Pikachu is a powerful electric-type Pokemon. When facing Pikachu in battle, use special preparations to ensure a swift and easy victory.

  Select a Pokemon suitable for battle against the Electric-type Pikachu. Ground-type Pokemon such as Sandslash, Diglett, Marowak and Groudon are not affected by electric attacks. Additionally, electric moves are not very effective against grass-type, dragon-type and other electric-type Pokemon. Select one of these Pokemon types to battle against Pikachu. For maximum effect, make sure the Pokemon is a level equal to or greater than Pikachu.

  Prepare for the battle against Pikachu. One of the effects of Pikachu's electric attacks is paralysis. Once paralyzed, your Pokemon will be unable to attack Pikachu, making it vulnerable. Stock up on "Paralyz Heals" items to heal a paralyzed Pokemon. Collect a variety of other healing potions as well in order to restore a Pokemon's general health.

  Attack the Pikachu with multiple attacks to drain its health. Continue to attacks until the Pikachu loses all of its health and faints. If attempting to capture the Pikachu, stop attacking when it is reduced to 1/4 its health and then throw a Pokeball.
