How to Save Files for Pokemon ROM

The "Pokemon" series covers dozens of games for the Gameboy, Gameboy Advance and Nintendo DS. Gamers who want to enjoy these titles on their computer can do so by using the ROM-version and playing through an emulator, such as VisualBoyAdvance. The ROM versions offer several benefits over the standard cartridge version, including the ability to save state. By using this feature, players can save the game at any point, including in the middle of battle. This gives players an edge when trying to catch particularly challenging Pokemon. While save states are available for the Gameboy and Gameboy Advance emulators, as of May 2011, DS emulators do not have a working save state function.
