How to Get the Flute to Wake Up the Sleeping Pokemon

"Pokemon: Red" and "Pokemon: Blue" were the same version of the Japanese role-playing game released in 1998 for the original Nintendo Gameboy. In the game, you play as a Pokemon trainer who captures Pokemon and uses them to fight battles. Throughout the game, you run into a number of rare Pokemon, including the Snorlax, the sleeping Pokemon. If you wake the Snorlax, you can have a Poke Battle with it and capture it. There are only two chances to catch Snorlax in "Pokemon: Red" and "Blue."

     Travel to Lavender Town in "Pokemon: Red" or "Blue" and go to the big tower.

     Walk into the tower and enter a battle with the Pokemon trainer Gary. Beat Gary to progress up the tower.

     Travel to the top of the tower and fight Team Rocket on the seventh floor of the tower. Defeat Team Rocket to rescue Mr. Fuji.

     Go to Mr. Fuji's house in Lavender Town and speak to him. He'll give you the Pokeflute used to wake Snorlax.

     Travel to the Snorlax and select the Pokeflute to wake him.
