How to Erase Attacks in Pokemon Sapphire

Every Pokemon in "Pokemon Sapphire" can remember four moves or attacks at once. To erase one of a Pokemon's moves, you need to replace it with another one. Pokemon can learn new moves as they reach certain Levels, but the quickest and easiest way to teach a Pokemon a move is using a Technical Machine. You can buy TMs from the shops in the game and you can be awarded them for winning some of the tougher battles. Each move has a certain "type," corresponding to the Pokemon types -- so only Water-type Pokemon can learn Water-type attacks, for example.

     Select the Technical Machine for the move you want to teach your Pokemon from the TMs pocket of your bag.

     Select which Pokemon you want to teach the move to.

   • 3

     Choose which attack you want to erase to replace with the new move.

   • 4

     Press A to make your Pokemon forget the old attack and replace it with the new one.
