How to Get to Southern Island in Sapphire

"Pokemon Sapphire" is a Game Boy game by Nintendo. Southern Island is one of the hidden islands of the game. It is the only location where you can catch the rare Latios Pokemon, which is a Level 50 Psychic Dragon-type Pokemon. Once you reach the island, you will battle Latios. If you catch it, you will gain the Soul Dew item, which boosts the Special Attack and Special Defense skills of your Pokemon.

Instructions

  Get the Eon Ticket by using the E-Reader card from issueof Nintendo "Power Magazine." Or, swap data with someone who already has the ticket on his game with the Game Boy Advance link cable.

  Go to your father in "Petalburg Gym." If you haven't battled him and won yet, you need to do so now. Leave the gym once you have successfully battled him. Then, re-enter it. Talk to your father and he'll give you a letter.

  Go to "Lilycove." Show the letter to the woman working at the port. A boat captain will come out. Speak with the captain and then you can take a ride on his boat to the Southern Island.

  Enter the forest on the island. Save your game. Speak to the egg-shaped creature on the island to fight Latios. You can only fight once, so be careful and do your best to catch them. If you lose, restart your game and try again until you win and catch Latios.
