How to Capture Pokemon in the Safari Zone on Pokemon Leaf Green

Fuchsia City in "Pokemon Leaf Green" features a Safari Zone, a location where players can catch rare wild Pokemon such as Tauros, Kangaskhan and Dragonair. In regular game play, trainers catch a wild Pokemon by battling, lowering its hit points and throwing a Pokeball. In the Safari Zone, players are not allowed to harm the wild Pokemon. Instead, trainers must attempt to catch the Pokemon by throwing a Safari Ball before it flees from battle.

Instructions

  Enter the Safari Zone in the northern part of Fuchsia City. Pay 500 Pokedollars to receive 30 Safari Balls and play the Safari game.

  Walk through any patch of tall grass to encounter wild Pokemon. You will encounter different Pokemon in areas 1, 2 and 3, such as Exeggcute, Chansey, Pinsir, Tauros and Nidorino. You can also use a fishing rod to fish for wild Pokemon such as Dratini, Psyduck and Slowpoke in the various ponds.

  Select "Throw Ball" on the menu screen to catch the Pokemon. If the Pokemon flees from battle, repeat steps 2 and 3.
