How to Unlock Alltrades Abbey in DQ9

"Dragon Quest 9: Sentinels of the Starry Skies" is a critically acclaimed roleplaying game released for the Nintendo DS in July 2009. One of the most important locations in "Dragon Quest 9" is Alltrades Abbey, which serves as the main character's home base for part of the game. When you first arrive to the abbey, you do not have access to its main function: changing the vocations of you and your party members. To fully unlock Alltrades Abbey in "DQ9," you must find and save Abbot Jack from a dangerous dungeon.

Instructions

  Go to Alltrades Abbey. Go to the main corridor on the first floor, and walk north along the corridor until you come across three people speaking to a priest.

  Wait until the conversation between the priest and the locals is over, then talk to the priest. He will inform you that Abbot Jack is missing, and that others around the Abbey may know where he went.

  Go to the basement of the Abbey and talk to the bartender, the maid and the butler to continue the quest. The priest will come interrupt you and tell you that Abbot Jack probably ran off to the Tower of Trades in the east. He will ask you to find him, and then teaches you the ability Bow.

  Leave Alltrades Abbey and travel to the far northeast mountains, where the Tower of Trades is. Use the Bow ability to gain entry into the Tower.

  Make your way up each floor of the tower. When you reach the final floor, you will have to defeat the Master of Nu'uh to rescue Abbot Jack. After doing so, talk to Jack, who will come to his senses and ask you to return him to Alltrades Abbey.

  Return Abbot Jack to Alltrades Abbey, then talk to him to complete the quest and fully unlock Alltrades Abbey.
